PUBLISHER Common Ground Research Networks (www.cgnetworks.org) has awarded Laurel Walzak, Associate Professor, RTA Sport Media at The Creative School, Toronto Metropolitan University and Researchers, Frankie Collura, PhD, and Danica Vidotto, PhD, Global Experiential Sport Lab, Toronto Metropolitan University, the honours of publishing a new book imprint called: Sport Media Vectors – Auto Racing: Revitalization of Brands, Globalization of Audiences and Driving Competitive Balance.

This is a call for scholars in our field to submit a chapter of interest for this upcoming book imprint. If you are interested in submitting a chapter, please read the initial requirements outlined below and submit to start the process.  

Note: Our responsibilities for this upcoming book include soliciting chapters from other scholars in our field, such as yourself, helping you through the chapter proposal process drawn ideally from your: previous journals published by Common Ground; or research presented at a future Sport and Society Conference; and your overall work related to the book theme.

INVITATION & INITIAL CHAPTER REQUIREMENTS:
If interested in submitting a chapter, please read the following as these will be the minimum requirements of your contribution, once we have this information, we will review your submission and get back to you with more information about the requirements and an official agreement for your review and approval by the latest Monday, December 16, 2024.  

Topics of Interest - F1 GLOBAL - WE ARE LOOKING FOR PARTICIPATION FROM REGIONS ACROSS THE GLOBE.

● Theme 1: Revitalizing the Brand F1 - Driver marketing, team marketing, manufacturer marketing and country marketing.

• Social Media Engagement and Integration
• Driving the Brand via Partnerships: Netflix (Drive to Survive), Warner Brothers (F1 Movie), Sponsors
• Drive Experiences (Go Karting simulations, F1 exhibitions and other fan interactions)

● Theme 2: Driving Audiences F1

• TV Viewership Local, Regional and Global Broadcasts
• Streaming by market and the rise of content creation for consumption
• Increase in Spectators in Stands (Market by Market)

● Theme 3: Competitive Balance F1

• Integration of Technology Innovation i.e. Tires, DRS, Constructors (Manufacturers), Points
• Partners - Cisco and/ or AWS – AI, Statistics and Competitive and /or The case of the F1 Trophy in F1 Grand Prix Montreal and role on marketing)

● Special Edition - Industry Contributions:

• Including a special section on Industry Experts Contributions, see below and not limited to these, should you be interested in integrating an expert from the field, please comment so below on your chapter of interest, such as for example, only: Interviews, Chapter Review, Testimonials, Book Reviews and more.

● Other:

• We are open to other related themes, please advise us in your submission.

No Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submissions

• Concurrent submissions are not accepted.
• Submitting the same chapter manuscript to more than one book concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and it is unacceptable.
• Manuscripts must only be peer reviewed by one book at a time.
• We do not accept submissions of previously published works.

Word Count

• You must be in a position to submit a chapter with a minimum of 2,000 words to a maximum of 8,000 words.

Book & Chapter Promotion 

• Actively promote this book imprint and or your chapter within the book via your select media networks, associations, professional bodies or conferences and university networks during key promotional timelines, that will be outlined within an official agreement. 
• Promote via a local bookstore, university library, social media, advertise and not limited to these, etc.
• Using this book in a minimum of one of your courses each year for a minimum of three years, if you are affiliated with an educational institution. 
• Give permission to Common Ground and the Co-Editors to promote your chapter accordingly.

Chapter Interest Submission

• While your chapter manuscript is under review with Common Ground Research Network and with Laurel Walzak and other co-editors, you may not submit your work for consideration elsewhere.

If you agree to the initial chapter requirements within, please complete this form, being as detailed as possible. If information is not given in your 'chapter of interest' submission, we may not be able to make a decision regarding your interest.  Please note we are unable to consider chapter manuscripts or chapter of interest submissions that are currently under review by other publishers. NOTE: This is a Submission of Chapter of Interest Only, once we have reviewed your chapter of interest submission and if we accept it, we will be in touch with you via email and we will forward you the chapter manuscript requirements and contract.
